While the catfish bite slowed down a bit over the last week, the bass continued to hit hard. Jack Rabbit Flats and the rock wall between Johnson Bay and Clark Canyon were the best spots for a consistent bite. The smallmouth are ranging from 1-2lbs on average while the largemouth are about 2lbs. Cranks, swim baits, and of course night crawlers are working well out there. Additionally, some decent sized crappie were pulled in around Santa Cruz point with the largest weighing 1.75lbs. A chartreuse crappie jig brought in 6 crappie and 2 bluegill for one angler on the east end of the lake.
