BASS
The bass bite slowed down this week. Anglers are still catching some between 2-4 pounds. They are down deeper between 20-30 ft. Thin senkos, ikas, and texas rigged plastics are working best for catching bass. Anglers are catching the majority of the bass off the points.

STRIPER
Anglers are catching few striper between 5-10 pounds. Swim baits are recommended for catching striper. Most of the stripers have been caught off shore. Striper fishing is best on stormy, overcast days.

CATFISH
There were no reports of catfish caught this week. Cut bait and night crawlers work best for catfish.

PANFISH
There has been some reports of panfish caught. Mealworms, night crawlers and jigs are recommended for catching panfish.

TROUT
Anglers are catching few trout between 2-4 pounds. Most of the trout are being caught off shore. Nightcrawlers, rooster tails, kastmasters and bait covered in Lip Ripperz hatchery dust work best for trout. The best time to fish for trout is after a stock.

***The launch ramp is closed to Private boaters. Boat rentals, and the shoreline are still be accessible.***

Lake Record Striper
April 25, 2012: Nhan Doan of LA caught a 34.77 pound striper. Location not specified.

Lake Record Largemouth Bass
March 16, 2007: Mike Long of Poway, 16.43 lb bass. He was fishing the west dam with a 6” “Real Trout” Rago swimbait.

Lake Record Pan fish
March 30, 2015: Jesse Mena of Hemet caught a 4.72 pound redear fishing with a nightcrawler.

Lake Record Catfish
March 2, 2012: Richard Skilliter of Anaheim caught a 56.8 pound catfish fishing with shrimp.

Lake Record Trout
March 14, 2009: Andrew Avalos of Hemet caught a 15.45 pound trout. He was fishing with Powerbait near the east dam.
