Fire officials were unable to give definitive word on Friday morning regarding exactly when Santiago Canyon road will be re-opened to permit anglers access to Irvine Lake. Power lines and telephone lines are still down in the area, so no phone contact is possible to the lake.

No fire damage occurred to any Irvine Lake facilities, and the lake staff is busy cleaning up wind-related damage. Hopefully the lake will be able to open on Saturday, we will send out an announcement as soon as the roads are open.
