Irvine Lake closed temporarily due to fires

The devastating fires in Orange County have temporarily closed Irvine Lake to fishing and all other public access. At this time, no fire damage has occurred on any Irvine Lake/Serrano Water District buildings or other lake facilities. We will send out an announcement when the lake is allowed to re-open.

The final weekend of late-night catfish action will take place on Friday October 12 and Saturday October 13, with anticipation running high among catfish specialists for that last shot at a 50-plus pound monster blue cat. Regular 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM hours will prevail on Sunday October 14. The last couple of weeks of monster blue catfish catches had set the anticipation levels to "high" for Irvine Lake anglers, but the big fish failed to materialize, according to Jimmy Getty at the Pro Shop. "The big blue catfish just did not happen for us this weekend", noted Getty.
