The Catfish bite held up throughout the week. Using cut mackerel around Arrowhead Island and Cachuma Bay produced Kitties to 6 lbs.

Santa Cruz Bay had a decent Crappie bite on mini jigs and trolled C.D. Rapalas. One angler reported getting a near limit catch of slabs in the 1 to 2 lb. range.

Bass anglers had mixed results as the fish were scattered from 3' to 20' in the water column. Most of the Bass were caught on nightcrawlers. The artificial bite was more difficult than typical.

Only a handful of trout were taken. Fishermen who fished for trout had to get their baits down to 40' to 50'. The dam was the best location to fish for the trout. Bow fishing for Carp was slow except for early in the morning at the mouth of Clark's canyon.

Shore anglers had some nice catches off of E Point and Harveys. Anglers who chose to drift while fishing at...... Read More
