Sunday, July 14th at the CHatterbox Party Gras!!! We are ROCKIN' every 2nd Sunday of the month from 3PM - 6PM! ROCKABILLY, BLUES & COUNTRY with drink and menu specials by amazing chef Elaine Kennedy!

Sunday, July 14th will be heavy on the Bak-O, as we are joined by one of the creators of the Bakersfield sound! We will have a very special guest on keys; Mark Yeary! 20 year veteran of Merle Haggard and the Strangers!!!

We're looking forward to seeing the Kern River Valley community at the latest music spot, THE CHATTERBOX CAFE!!! We hope to see some Bakersfield folks raising a glass with us!

...AND July 28th, and every last Sunday of the month from 3PM - 6PM at THE CHATTERBOX, the Songwriter's Showcase!!! The songwriter's showcase is exactly what it says it is. This is not karaoke or an open mic jam! It is an opportunity to showcase original material. Even if you're not finished your songs, come down and get some feedback on your ideas or just take the opportunity to work it out in front of a listening audience! Each guest will perform up to 3 songs or more depending on attendance volume.

Lake Isabella, CA - Work on fortifying the Lake Isabella Dam is entering a new phase. Kern County Supervisors were briefed on the project Tuesday by the Army Corps of Engineers. The Corps says its study of the dam and its vulnerabilities has been completed and approved. Now, the pre-construction, engineering and design phase begins.
