Water Temperature: Between 66 to 68 degrees
Water Conditions: The water level is still down
Fish Reports:
Bluegill:
There has been a lot of great action fishing for Bluegill. The best location has been the East Bay or by reeds. Crickets are the #1 bait, nightcrawlers, mealworms and red worms are also good.
Trout: Is nearing the end of the season. Trout action has slowed with only a few catches. They seem to be favoring lures, especially Rapalas and Kastmasters.
Carp: Wow, a lot of big ones! You will also find them spawning in the coves. Great catches, and they are fun to catch on Carp dough balls.
Striped Bass: some action in the main channel, which runs from the inlet toward the Marina to East Bay. The size is in the 1 to 2 lb. range, and they are biting on Kastmasters at 10 to 15 ft. Down riggers also work with umbrella rigs.
Catfish: The Cats are very active now in the coves, but they are moving around. The bite should be on soon.
Largemouth Bass: The best approach is flippin' with the normal drop shot. A lot of catch and release is going on. The big ones being taken generally run between 2 and 11 lbs. in the afternoon.
