4,000lbs of these incredible fish have been stocked in the past 10 days. BIG trout have finally found thier way to Laguna Niguel lake!! Fisherman couldn't be happier...lots of 5 fish limits weighed in at the scales this week. Most fisherman from shore have been catching trout soaking different colored Power Bait, inflated nightcrawlers and dead sticking Power Mouses. Boats and float tubers have been catching trout not only in the flats but in the deep water too! First time in years we have seen trout feeding in deep water from the big island to the dam!!! Fly fisherman continue to stick big numbers of trout still water nymphing with bead headed midges in 10' of water.

BIG trout of the week weighed in at 10lbs 04 oz's and was caught by local angler 'Vaughn' fishing a green/white Power Mouse in Zone 1. Tin Dong of Laguna Beach topped off his 5 fish limit with a 8 lb 02 oz trout that chewed rainbow Power Bait at the bubble hole in deep water by the dam. Paul Hansen of Huntington Beach weighed in a 7 lb 09 oz trout caught on a white Trout King jig off the big island on a boat. Ken Goebel of Lake Forest caught a 7 lb 08 oz trout soaking sherbert Power Bait in Zone 2. Daryl Boyer of Capo Beach used a white/orange Power Mouse to land a 6 lb 08 oz trout in Zone 2. Jeff Berg of Lakewood caught a 6 lb 08 oz trout using a orange Trout King jig in zone 3. Rudy Falcon of Huntington Beach caught a 6 lb 07 oz trout soaking a pink/green Power Mouse at the bubble hole in deep water. Brian Shrigley of Long Beach caught a 6 lb 02 oz throwing a Thomas Bouyant lure at 3 pipes. Glen Matsushita of Gardena topped off his 5 fish limit with a 6 lb trout and a 5 lb 08 oz trout jigging a white Trout King worm on the left hand side of the concession building in deep water. Nick Kelther of San Diego weighed in a 5lb 08oz trout that was caught on green Power Bait at 3 pipes. Tim Meyer of Huntington Beach topped off his 19 lb 06 oz stringer with a 5 lb 08 oz trout all caught on a green Trout King jig in deep water by the dam.

Another 2,000lbs of Nebraska Tailwalkers will be stocked on Tuesday Jan 15th.
