Another 2,000lbs of rainbow trout will be stocked on Tuesday December 11th.

Due to the last week of rain, we had to make a last minute change and cancel the Dec. 4th stocking- But the trout are still biting and plentiful! We will definitely be stocking on Tuesday, Dec. 11th.

As of right now the average size 'Bows being caught fall into the 2-4 pound range. Orange or Silver SC Shinner works great. Kastmasters are working on slow retrieve. Shore fishermen reaching half limits quickly with fish ranging from 2-4 pounds on average. Try using an 8-18" leader depending on the depth of the water. The bait that has been working great is Rainbow Powerbait and Nightcrawlers, both dipped in Garlic Scent.

Fishermen in the boats on the troll continue to have success all over the lake, as fish have spread out considerably. Notable catch this week goes to Lou Ruiz, pictured above of Aliso Viejo who reeled in a beautiful 2.5 pounder on 12/5/12, using a chartreuse power mouse in zone 1 off the shoreline.

And remember Lake conditions are perfect with cold water and plenty of oxygen from recent winter storms making for some awesome battles with these Sierra Bows!
