Bluegill is were the action is this week at Lake Perris. Everyone fishing in a boat at 15' to 25' of water are getting limits if they are using crickets. Redear are still taking trout worms by the Marina docks and the launch ramp.
Bass are active in the mornings and the evenings. They are hitting drop shot rigs using plastic worms. Trout can be taken fishing deeper waters with the use of nightcrawlers.

6-18-2012The fish at Lake Perris are starting to move out to deeper waters. Bluegill are hitting on crickets and red worms. It is best to fish from a boat off the back side of the Island and Bernasconi shoreline at about 20 to 25 ft. of water. Bluegill and Redear are starting to go to deeper water, 20' to 30' is where you need to fish. Bluegill are hitting on crickets, and Trout worms or red worms are working for Redear. Bass are hitting on plastic worms at Sail Cove for a nice morning bite. Some trout are still being pulled out in the morning or at night. They are hitting nightcrawlers and/or some PowerBait. ......
