The weather was beautiful at Lake Skinner this week, with temperatures in the mid 70's. Memorial weekend brought many happy anglers. Experienced anglers and new anglers all seemed to catch something, whether it be a largemouth Bass or Bluegill or Crappie.
The largemouth Bass are still active over around Launch Ramps 1 and 2, hitting on nightcrawlers and plastic worms. Catfish have been slowly making an appearance in catfish alley and near the ramps as well. They are hitting on chicken liver, anchovies and nightcrawlers. Bluegill are over at the dam area and are hitting mealworms, was worms and live crickets.
Reminder: June 1st, 2nd and 3rd is the "Balloon and Wine Festival" and the lake will be CLOSED.
