BASS
Bass fishing has been good. Anglers are catching bass under the algae at about 50ft of water. Majority of the fish reported were caught on senkos or dropshotting plastic worms. Colored plastics, such as, Margarita mutilator and Morning dawn have been effective. John Wong from El Monte caught a 10 & 12 lb largemouth bass using senkos.
STRIPER
Striper fishing is still going strong. Recent catches have been at the bouy line by the I/O tower. Anglers reported limits of 3-5 lb fish caught on sardines.
CATFISH
Few catfish have been reported by anglers this week. Nightcrawlers and shrimp work well for catfish.
TROUT No reports lately on any trout being caught. Powerbait, mini jigs, and nightcrawlers work well for trout when they are being caught.
PANFISH
Bluegill and redear fishing is picking up by the East Dam. Anglers reported limits of bluegill using jigs and mealworms. Still no crappie reports yet.
