Three boats out today, Pacific Dawn slammed out rockfish limits for 17 anglers and now has day two to make a move and look for croaker. Pacific Eagle had an open full day trip depart this morning with 22 anglers. Fishing was steady enough and the quality was good. Nice chucks (pictured here) plus some sculpin, lingcod and one calico bass. Island Spirit had a full day charter depart this morning with 20 anglers. They had fare fishing with amazing quality reds. Weather was overcast most of the day, but the ocean was very nice (flat).

Today "caps" an excellent weekend of fishing here in Ventura. The water continues to warm and the ocean stayed smooth for the most part. Things seem ready to pop with reports of white seabass being found.. very exciting time to fish the wonderful northern channel islands!

Departing Monday:  5AM PACIFIC EAGLE, 6AM ISLAND SPIRIT and 10PM PACIFIC DAWN
