Bass were being caught all over the lake in the 1' to 5' on a wide variety of baits. Fish are mostly spawned out and the size reflects that. Trout fishing early or late afternoon has been good for those trolling 1 to 3 colors of leadcore with C.D. rapalas and dodger/crawler combos.

Crappie were taking mini jigs, trolled spinners, and minnow imitations in the narrows and Cachuma Bay. Bowfishing for Carp has really come on this past week, and can be found on the surface all over the lake. Catfish were also biting well on cut mackerel and doughbaits in the backs of shallow cuts and coves. Bluegill are starting to be seen around stands of bullrush, and can be caught with mealworms or red worms.
