Fishing was a little tougher this past week, not as many fish have been seen in the shallows. The large mouth are still keying in on Berkley power worms and Shaky worms. Motor oil and Watermelon w/ red Glitter have are the best colors for Berkley worms. Most of the bass are hanging around in sandy areas off points and in the back of the coves of Old SS and Hawks Nest. Nightcrawlers and our Neon Garlic crawlers are still the best baits at both the upper and lower lakes for the largemouth, Catfish, and Trout when they arrive. Still no good news for the stripers but anglers are still hitting the swimbaits really hard and only coming up with a few, so they are still out there somewhere. The buoy line is still producing a lot of cats and occasionally a striper or two. The morning to mid afternoon bite seems to be the best for the largies. The night bite at the lagoon has been looking better this past week.
