BASS
The swim bait bite for bass is good, especially after the trout plants. Dropshotting, Texas rigging, and Carolina rigging have still been productive. Colored plastic worms such as morning dawn and margarita mutilator are effective. Tim Cardinal caught two nice bass on the shoreline on a nightcrawler. There were a couple 7 lb'ers caught during the tournament.

STRIPER
Striper fishing was good this week. Trout pattern swimbaits are working, especially after the trout plants. Cut bait is still effective (sardines or anchovies). Mark Gillete and Steve Kugler of Eclipse Sportfishing in San Diego brought in 12 stripers ranging from 3-6 lbs. each.

TROUT
The next Mt. Lassen trout stock is scheduled for February 16th. Trout fishing has been good. Powerbait, mini jigs, and nightcrawlers have all been effective. Six year old Samantha Jones, caught a 4.6lb rainbow trout using powerbait. Three year old Bryce Roble, had a great time fishing for his trout that he named "Fish".

CATFISH
No reports this week. Anchovies, shrimp, and nightcrawlers are the best baits for Catfish.

PANFISH
No reports of panfish lately.
