The Department of Fish and Game has stocked the lake on Tuesday Dec. 27th with 1300 lbs. of rainbow trout at the Main (east) Launch Ramp.

Stripers are still a little lethargic even with all of the trout still hanging around. The swimbait bite has been on the weak side but when the stripers are biting the big baits, they are bigger fish in the 10 to 20 lb. range. Largemouth are biting plastics in deeper water around the points in Old SS and Hawks Nest. Elizabeth Cyn and Dry Gulch are harboring a lot of largemouth and stripers that have been coming up and boiling on the pin minnows early in the mornings.

Trout have been hanging out at the main ramp in the shallows and are biting on garlic and rainbow powerbait. Anglers who are bait fishing near the buoy line for stripers haven't been coming up with any stripers but lots of catfish ranging from 5 to 10 lbs. The lagoon has been doing a lot better from the shoreline this past week. Plastics and swimbaits have been working great on the largemouth; mealworms have been catching the few panfish hanging out around the fishing pier.

Spooks and Flukes are still the baits pulling in the few stripers that have been biting. The stripers don't hang around too long but you can...... Read More

Some small boils have been reported in the fish arm, but at most they only last for about 15 to 20 seconds. Top water lures, if you can find a boil, have been working to bring in the 3 to 5 pounders. Swimbait from the...... Read More
