The weather slowed the fishing at Lake Perris this week

Due to the weather fewer anglers were hitting the shorelines but the ones that are diehards were catching bass around the points and in the marina and launch ramps hitting on plastics and nightcrawlers. Trout are still being caught on gold Kastmasters and PowerBaits around lots 8, 11 & 12. Redear are still hitting off the Bernasconi shoreline for a nice afternoon bite and are hit or miss in the morning. There is still a moderate bite at the marina.

With colder nights we get cooler water. Most of the fish have gone deeper to warmer water. People fishing around 30' of water should catch some nice redear and a few crappie. Trout were stocked at Sail Cove on Monday so anglers have been catching rainbow on gold Kastmasters and garlic PowerBait about 150 to 200 yards off of the Sail Cover shoreline. Due to the high winds this week there were few anglers on the shoreline. Die hards were still catching some nice sized bass on plastic worms and shad lures around sail cove and off the marina docks.
