BASS
Top water first thing in the morning has been effective. The swim bait bite is still tough right now but should pick up after the trout plant. The bigger fish are being caught at 55-80 feet. Dropshotting, Texas rigging, and Carolina rigging have still been productive for those working hard. Cold weather is helping the algae bloom drop to the bottom.
STRIPER COME SIGN UP FOR OUR STRIPER DERBY HAPPENING DECEMBER 17TH-31ST. ONLY $10 TO ENTER, WHICH INCLUDES ONE RAFFLE TICKET. LOTS OF GREAT PRIZES FOR THE MYSTERY WEIGHT & RAFFLE WINNERS! DON'T MISS IT!!! The cut bait bite is slowing down however; sardines and anchovies are the best bet. Reports of striper were caught on trout pattern swimbaits this week after the trout plant.
TROUT
Trout are biting on powerbait, kastmasters, and mini jigs. The next Mt. Lassen trout plant is scheduled for the week of December 22. Call store for details (951)926-7201. Aaron Gallardo and Preston Price got there limit of trout this week on kastmasters. ☺
CATFISH
Anchovies, shrimp, and nightcrawlers are your best bet to catch a catfish. There was some big catfish brought in this week but did not specify what they were caught on.
PANFISH
Panfish went back down when the cold weather came. Since we have had warmer weather there has been a few catches.
