Record Catfish and Largemouth Catches this week at Lake Hemet

A 10.5 lb. Catfish and a 10.31 lb. Largemouth were both caught this week at Lake Hemet. In addition, many anglers were getting their limits of trout this week. The Lake Hemet "Triangle", between the Point, the Spillway and the Dam are the best for trout at about 35 to 40 ft.

The Lake Hemet water temperature is currently at 64 degrees. There are some great "specials" at Lake Hemet. Half price camping Sunday thru Thursday which includes a free 2 hour boat rental. And Monday thru Friday boat rentals are half price.

Anglers report that the best bite for trout is still at the Lake Hemet "Triangle", between the Pointe, the Spillway, and the Dam. Trolling about 35 ft. deep 80 to 100 ft. from the shore, using a bright lure has been working really well. There is also a good catch from the shore reported using worms and orange/green PowerBait. The trout catch is up this week with most Anglers getting limits or near limits. The best bet is the "Triangle" between the Point, Spillway and the Dam. Use leadcore or weights to fish at around 35 feet. It is still good for trout or Bluegill from the shore with worms or green PowerBait. The current water temperature at Lake Hemet is 68 degrees.
