Stripers and Largemouth are boiling all day and hitting top water lures at Lake Castaic. In the ski arm - near Kong Island, around Necktie Cyn and Suicide Point, and back by the Buoy Line stripers have been tearing up the shad and boiling all day long. In the Fish arm, near Sharron's Rest, C-Point, Gov. Cove, Dry Gulch, Utopia and Elizabeth Cyn, stripers and largemouth are biting top water lures.
The afternoon and late evening seems to be doing a little better than the rest of the day. Anglers are using Heddon Spooks, Lucky Craft Sammies, and Zoom Flukes for the boils. The lagoon has been a little tougher than usual but plenty of Largemouth still hanging around in the shallows and pan fish are biting like crazy at sundown.

The catfish bite has been really great over the past week. Mackerel and nightcrawlers are working for the cats around the West Ramp, Elizabeth...... Read More

Near the end of the week the bite slowed down a bit probably just due to the amount of traffic on the water. Still plenty of boils are being spotted all over the lake and the largies and stripers are being caught. The largies can be found deeper in the coves on the fish arm, they are pretty picky when they are not boiling but none the less are still there. The stripers are boiling all throughout the fish......
