Bluegill are very active and some nice sized fish have been taken at Lake Perris

The Marina Docks remain slow only a few Bluegill have been reported. A large majority of the action has been coming from the southeast and southwest areas of the lake.
Large Bluegill has been hitting jigs in deep waters at the south end of the dam. Others have done well trolling the dam for largemouth bass.
Another fish that is active is the Redear. We have seen good-sized Redear and good quantities have been taking redworms off the Southeast side of Allesandro Island.

8-29-2011The hotter the temperature has been getting the past seven days the higher the numbers have gotten for Largemouth Bass, Bluegill and Redear. The Redear continue to produce best at the East End with Redworms. The reports for Bluegill and Largemouth have been concentrated at the southwest side of the lake. Lake PerrisThis week has proven to be quite productive for a variety of species. Many Largemouth have been hitting not only at the East End of the lake, but off the Marina points as well. Bluegill that are of considerable size remain in roughly 20 feet of water at the south end of the Dam. Jigs with crickets have still been working the best.
