Limit or near limit action on Catfish can be had in the backs of most shallow coves with creek channels, using mackerel, chicken livers, and packaged dough baits.
Bass fishing had been a little tough, but early morning producing a few fish on the main lake points. Texas-rigged plastics, deep diving cranks, and spoons have been accounting for the most catches.
Crappie slowed this week. A handful of slabs are coming out of the narrows and Harvey's Bay, on mini-jigs tipped with crappie nibbles or nightcrawlers.
Trout are up near the dam in 50 ft. of water. Drifting and trolling leadcore 8-9 colors with Dodger/crawler combos have been the most productive techniques.
Bluegill still plentiful around any strand of bulrush using floats and mealworms. Redear and Carp action on the slow side.
