A 41-pound catfish was landed by Carl Gerth of La Habra while fishing at Corona Lake this past week. Gerth was tossing fresh chicken liver in the shade of the trees in the southeast end of the lake around 7:30 a.m., fishing in just four feet or less of water when he hooked the big fish.

The catfish are being planted every Tuesday and Friday, with trophy broodstock cats a component of the Friday plant each week. Tilapia are also added each week.
