The weather was big news this past week as it kept most fishermen from fishing the lake, however those who did brave the weather were rewarded. Trout fishing picked up drastically, especially for the larger hold-overs as the cooler weather brought them back in to the shallows and searching for food. Blown up worms floated off the bottom was the king bait for the trout this past week and hot spots included both arms of the lake. Striper fishing was good overall this past week as shore fishing improved for the striper as they too moved into more shallow water. Anchovies are still the best bait for the striper, but chicken liver and some swimbaits have also been producing some fish. Not too much action on the bass or the bluegill to report other than some good size bass caught and released in the late evening. Good Luck Fishing and Happy Tails.

Rate the action based over the past week:
Bass ==> Fair
Bluegill ==> Poor
Catfish ==> Poor
Striper ==> Good
Trout ==> Excellent

Fishing was best by boat this past week. The shore action slowed, but with a trout stock coming up this next week, we look forward to the shore action picking back up. Trout were hitting near Ramp # 2, and several came...... Read More

Trout remained strong in the early morning on Powerbait and worms near Ramp #2 and some larger trout were also caught in the East End off of worms as well. Striper fishing is still somewhat......
