The previous week may have seen a diminished trout bite, but this past week, especially Saturday, the trout bite was great. Many fishermen reported fish over 2 pounds and it would appear tha some hold-overs are hitting back in the East End as well. Worms worked well for trout, as did powerbait, but those looking for some bigger bold-overs in the East End were tossing kastmasters and spinner baits. Striper fishing was some what varied this past week. Some days they did well off of bait such as anchovies and chicken liver, and other days they did well off the troll. What is known about the striper is that most are still the small schoolies, and the East End is still a good spot for them, however the Ramp #2 Area and the Inlet also produced some fish as well. Bass fishing improved this past week as by Sunday fishermen came in and asked what they could cast for striper that the bass would not hit. The bass hit fairly well in the East End off of a swimbaits and other plastics. Not many reports of cats or bluegill, but they are out there. Happy Fishing and Happy Tails.

Rate the action based over the past week:
Bass ==> Fair
Bluegill ==> Poor
Catfish ==> Fair
Striper ==> Good
Trout ==> Excellent
