Last week's storm brought 8 1/2" of rain to the lake and raised the level of the lake over 6 feet. Murky conditions existed for several days bu this past weekend, fishing began to pick up a bit. Michael Sandoval and Rita Davis, riverside residents, were fishing with nightcrawlers off campground 4 area and took home 4 rainbow trout, 16-18" in length. Isaac Alvarez and George Ben of Riverside, were fishing by the dam using purple powerbait and took home 3 trout, at least 3 lbs. each.

Paul Perfetti and his friend were trolling the lake with worms and powerbait and reeled in 8 trout, most 14" in size. Joe & Michelle Morgan were trolling by the dam using needlefish and each of them caught their limit. Pete Wynn was trolling the south shore using excel black lures and limited out on trout. Thanksgiving has brought some very cold weather to the mountain and a few campers to the campground. The fishing has been good except on those windy days when nobody shows up. Tom and Kaitlyn, Moorpark residents, were fishing with lures off the point and took 8 trouts. Pete Wynn, Hemet resident was fishing off the north shore with a custom lure and limited out on trout.
