Unlike last week, I know why fishermen failed to show at the lake, but the weather brought good striper fishing to most of the fishermen we talked to. Trolling was the name of the game this past week for the striper, and East End was the best, but Ramp #2 did a close second, plus more reports of striper from shore near Ramp #2 as well. Bait wise for the striper chicken liver and anchovies seem to be working about the same. Still a few cats coming in as well, and a few were reported being caught from shore near Ramp#2 so don't be too surprised if you haul in a kitty while bait fishing for striper. Trout did well for those who tried. Powerbait was the bait of choice for most fishermen this past week. A few bass hitting baits as well along the South Shore and back up in the Easst End. Happy Holidays, Happy Fishing and Happy Tails.

Best colors of Powerbait have been chartreuse, garlic and the ever popular rainbow. Some reports of trout coming in off of kastmasters and...... Read More
Lake Skinner Fishing Report
Lake SkinnerOnce again the again promise of rain kept most of the anglers away this past week, but the fishermen who had plenty of shore space catching fish did not seem to mind the lack of other fishermen. Trout were stocked this past week and the trout bite is once again at Lake Skinner. Ramp#2 remains the hot spot for trout but many boat fishermen are reporting seeing trout rounding Social Security Point and reports still coming in...... Read More
