Fall is here as the trout begin to move around the lakes. Bite has really improved and anglers are catching limits on both lakes. Anglers used Power Bait ( especially salmon peach, garlic and rainbow), night crawlers, jigs and lures Hot spots included the grassy point and the eastern shore of lake 3 as well as the northern and western shores of lake 2. Catfish were biting on shrimp, mackerel and night crawlers. Hot spots for catfish included the northern shore of lake 2 and the western shore of lake 3 with fish up to 4 pounds. Bass are biting on spinner bait and senkos with anglers reporting fish up to 3 pounds. Hot spots for bass included the northern and western shores of lake 3 and the western and southern shores of lake 2. Bluegill are biting meal worms and small jigs from the southern and eastern shore of lake 2 and the northern and western shores of lake 3 .

Catches of the week : George Frasier of Apple Valley caught a limit that included a 4 lbs 2 ozs rainbow. He used a Sierra Gold White/Pink Power Worm combo and fished the grassy point of lake 3. John Cranson of Rancho Cucamonga reeled in a 3 lb 14 ozs rainbow on a crappie jig while fishing the eastern logged shore of lake 3. The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
