Trout action continues to be slow with anglers using everything in their tackle boxes to catch fish including Power Bait ( especially salmon peach, garlic and orange), night crawlers, jigs and lures. Best bite is before 10 am. Hot spots included the grassy point and the western shore near the bridge of lake 3 as well as the northern and eastern shores of lake 2. Catfish were biting on shrimp and night crawlers. Bass are biting on spinner bait and senkos with anglers reporting fish up to 3 pounds. Hot spots for bass included the northern and western shores of lake 3 and the western and southern shores of lake 2. Bluegill are biting meal worms and small jigs from the southern and eastern shore of lake 2 and the northern and western shores of lake 3 .

Catches of the Week: Alen Cabrera pf Ranch Cucamonga caught a 4 lbs 8 ozs rainbow on a black/green crappie jig while fishing the north shore of lake 2. Mark Cortez reeled in a 3 lbs 9 ozs trout using a Power Mouse ( garlic Power Bait/orange Power Worm) from the eastern shore of lake 3. John Halberson of Barstow caught his 3 lbs 4 ozs rainbow on a night crawler while fishing the Grassy Point of Lake 3.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round. This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
