I had the pleasure of fishing aboard the Mirage recently with a great group of anglers. We found a great break in the weather and pushed our way to Santa Rosa Island in search for the elusive White Seabass with a tank full of live squid. When we arrived, it didn't take long to float some more squid and we soon began fishing. Captain Tucker metered some fish underneath the boat checking us out but they weren't interested in biting. We made a short move to meter even more fish but it just wasn't going to happen. We spent the rest of our day filling our sacks with quality Reds and Chuckheads. We even bagged a few keeper Lingcod! It was another great trip aboard the Mirage. We shared some laughs with Captain Tucker and his Crew and enjoyed one of Andrew's delicious Kona Burgers.
Our Northern Channel Islands are really starting to show some sign of fish. Although it seems like a late season, things are picking up fast! The Mirage has already scored a few nice Seabass since our trip and there's much more fish to come. Call up Channel Islands Sportfishing at 805-382-1612 to make a reservation. Special thanks to the Crew of the Mirage for another great day on the water!
