Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,500 pounds of Rainbow Trout from Idaho the week of March 17th. Another 1,500 pounds was added to the lake this week. Only one stocking left until trout season comes to a close! Over 20,000 pounds of trout have been stocked this season.

What’s the Catch? Rapala, Thomas Buoyant, Powerbait, trolling nightcrawlers - they were all working last weekend for trout. Rangers saw most limits come in by boat. The center of the lake from the tower buoy line and off of all the points was where the trout were biting. Don’t forget to ring the limit bell on the dock when you catch your limit! The bass and catfish bite were active during night fishing last Saturday. A couple of sizeable bass on swimbaits were caught and per usual the catfish were biting on mackerel and garlic shrimp. The Redear bite was good from the campground shoreline this week. Pieces of nightcrawler were doing the trick.

Conditions: The current water temperature is 61 degrees near the dock. Water temps are starting to rise. The district started filling the lake this week. The sun is rising at 6:33 a.m. and setting at 7:10 p.m.
