Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,500 pounds of Rainbow Trout from Idaho last week. DFW also brought us an additional 500 pounds. The next stocking of 1,500 pounds from Idaho will be the week of March 31st. Only two more stockings left until trout season concludes!

What’s the Catch? With 2,000 pounds of Rainbow Trout in the lake last weekend, it was hard to find anglers that didn’t catch something! A lot of limits by boat near the buoy lines. Nightcrawlers, Hookup Bait, Rapala, garlic Powerbait…you name it; trout were biting on just about everything last weekend. The bass bite continues. A 12.1 pound bass was pulled on plastics by Big Rock (see our Instagram feed). Since expanding the lake hours until 7 PM, the catfish bite has also picked up around sunset. Fishermen are pulling catfish around the boat dock and Siesta Cove. The cats will bite on most live baits, but love our garlic shrimp. Pick some up in the bait shop freezer for night fishing this week.

Conditions: The current water temperature is 61 degrees near the dock. Water temps are starting to rise. The district has been drawing water. Lake elevation is at 689 feet. The sun is rising at 6:51 a.m. and setting at 7:00 p.m.
