The lake remained near 78 percent of its storage capacity, and water temperatures rose into the mid-fifties. Smallmouth were the best bet with largemouth taking finesse plastics as well. The owner of C3 baits, John Petroski, reported a great bite in the backs of coves. Bass held from 5 to 20 feet deep, and C-rigs were the best way to entice bites. C3 shimmy and slim pros in Neptune shad and watermelon candy worked to fool plenty of bass. Striped bass remained elusive with occasional reports of fish falling for cut baits and jerkbaits. Trolled umbrella rigs took zebras as well. Rainbow trout were steady for anglers soaking dough baits and Mousetails at the west ramp.
