Isabella lake held this week at 26 percent of capacity and the bass bite remains solid. They’ve been finding fish anywhere from 10 to 30-feet. The better grade bucket mouths are showing more frequently in 25 to 30-feet. Topwater, mid diving crankbaits, jerkbaits, and chatterbaits are all scoring bass. Jigs in full brown, brown/purple and black/red have been working well. Deep diving crankbaits in depths below 20-feet have been fooling larger bass. Crappie are still showing in fair numbers here. Anglers are finding crappie around Reds and French Gulch marinas with mini jigs and small shiners. Whiskerfish are still showing with SSS Dip Bait, shad and cut mackerel. Trout are a little tougher, anglers have found some in the north Fork with artificials.
