The fall bite is in effect at Pyramid

Pyramid Lake held near 92 percent of its storage capacity, and water temps fell into the high sixties. The fall bite is in effect at Pyramid, and finesse anglers found biting fish on points, bluff walls, and in the weeds. The weed beds have begun to die off, but bass were still boated in the weeds with topwater techniques, reaction baits, and weedless offerings. Yellow Crankbaits and white buzzbaits worked well when cast parallel to outside weed lines. Finesse anglers drop shotted 4” plastics in Orange Crush, Ox Blood, and Morning Dawn. Striped bass anglers used cut sardines for a few fish, but better numbers came for anglers trolling umbrella rigs over main lake points. Catfishing was decent for anglers who found clean water without weeds. Chicken liver, dip bait, and cut sardines did the trick.
