Isabella dropped to 38 percent of capacity and continues to release water. The American Bass Association held a tournament last Saturday. First place finished with a five-fish bag of 20.79lbs and the largest weighing in at 6.08lbs. The overall bass bite continues to be solid with a ton of fish in the 1 to 3-pound range. Anglers have been scoring bass with 4-inch Keitechs, drop shot, small jigs, square bill and shallow crankbaits. Bass have also been coming on crappie jigs. This past week a local angler reported catching bass, crappie, catfish and trout all on crappie jigs in 30 to 35-feet of water. The crappie bite continues to be steady in the marina with crappie jigs and live shiners. The trout action is steady in the North Fork and around the dams. Boaters trolling leadcore with Needlefish, Tasmanian Devils and Flicker Shad have been scoring larger trout. The whiskerfish action is decent in the evening. Catfish have been coming from around the lake and have been more frequent around Camp 9 with frozen shad, SSS Dip Bait and nightcrawlers.
