Catfish anglers had another good week of fishing with a few fish close to 10 pounds. Nighttime has been the best time to fish for the kitties, and Tripple S Dip Bait, cut baits, and chicken liver all worked for bites. Striped bass remained hit or miss, but we are still receiving reports of some anglers catching a lot of fish. The trick has been to move from gate to gate until you locate the biting schools of striper. Flukes on a jig head, jerkbaits, and rattle traps all worked for bites. However, cut baits have been the most consistent way to hook up. Largemouth took weightless Senkos in the weed beds and Texas rigs worked too. There has been a topwater bite at first light above and below check gates.
