Pyramid Lake held near 92 percent of its storage capacity and since its reopening fishing has been good. Large and smallmouth went after Texas rigged brown 6” worms, drop shot, and Senko style baits in 5 to 25 feet of water. Points, bluff walls and submerged humps all produced well. Bass also took crankbaits and topwater lures in the mornings. On windy days jerkbaits took bass and striper in the mudlines. Striped bass ate cut sardines and lugworms for shore anglers, and boat anglers trolled umbrella rigs to land plenty of 2 to 3 pound jail birds. Catfish picked up dip baits, cut baits, and chicken liver just about anywhere in the lake.
