Pyramid Lake held near 92 percent of its storage capacity, and water clarity has improved. Bass anglers reported good fishing for both large and smallmouth. Fish were holding from right up on shore out to 15 feet deep. Just about any finesse bait worked for bites with Green Pumpkin, Ox Blood, and baitfish colors all doing well. The reaction bait bite picked up as well, with jerkbaits and crankbaits leading the way. Striped bass anglers spent a lot of time waiting for bites while soaking cut baits and lugworms. Anglers trolling A-rigs landed linesides over main lake points in 25 to 50 feet of water. Catfish anglers reported decent fishing at the inlet and in Yellowbar while using cut anchovies and chicken liver.
