This week Isabella Lake dropped to 94 percent of capacity, or 535,434 acre-feet. The Bass has slowed here, but a few are eating topwater early in the morning. Lucky Craft Sammy’s and Whopper Ploppers have been working very well. The fish are moving down to 5-20 feet of water as the sun rises and coming on jigs, drop shot, Chigger Craws Texas Rigged, and Shakey Head. Crappie anglers have had some action in the South Fork in 10 to 15-feet of water. Our contacts reported Crappie coming on minijigs and live shiners fished 4-feet below a bobber on a slow retrieve. Trout have been hit or miss. The best action has been coming from boaters trolling down deep with Needlefish, Tasmanian Devils and Flicker Shad. Floating garlic scented baits have been producing in the North Fork area. We had a couple of good reports of Catfish coming this week along the South Fork with Dip Baits and mackerel.
