Great news for Cachuma Lake! A 4000 pound fish plant of beautiful rainbow trout has arrived and they are hungry. Tons of nice 2 plus pound trout are being caught on trolling a nightcrawler with a dodger out by the dam in the deeper waters. Also some nice trout being caught on rapalas back in the south end of the lake near the river inlet where the water is a little warmer.

Bass bite is slow with most action off of reaction bites and some finesse baits as well. Chatterbaits and dropshotting some of those brighter roboworms as the water clarity gets better.

Crappie are still deep and not quite showing up into those shallow coves but can be caught off of a boat under all the new fallen structure that surrounds our beautiful lake.

Rentals are open with a small fleet of 12 boats so hurry in and get your fish on! Tackle Shop currently Open and renting boats from 8am-4pm weekday 7am-4pm weekend
