Fishing was decent in the south valley aqueduct with anglers reporting good fishing for all species. Striper anglers chased linesides from gate to gate until they located biting fish. Bait anglers soaked cut sardines, anchovies, and jumbo live minnows after check gates, and lure anglers reported boiling fish in the late afternoon which they fooled with Flukes, topwater, and jerkbaits. Catfish slurped up many of the same baits as striper with the addition of chicken liver and dip bait. Largemouth went for finesse baits worked slowly in eddies. The clearer water conditions required a stealthier approach to fool bass.
