Our last trout stocking was the day before Thanksgiving on 11/23/2022. We had a decent number of rainbows dumped in which made for excellent fishing this past week. Any type of dough bait Power-bait has been working, along with Power-bait worms and tubes. Small trout jigs, spoons, and swimbaits have also been working.
The striper are still biting off he bottom on cut bait and worms. Most fish have been smaller sized schoolies and every now and then an angler hooks up with a decent one. Trolling around flies, umbrella rigs, and spoons have still been getting attention. The swimbait bite is slowly getting better but has still been a grind for that one big one.
The Largemouth and Smallmouth bite remains steady but has been a little harder to locate them. Most fish have been caught off the drop-shot with a finesse plastic or a nightcrawler. Jigs, cranks, and deeper diving jerk baits have also been getting bites. The spoon has been working too, mainly by bouncing it off the bottom. The bite tends to pick up during the warmer parts of the day.
Catfish are still biting off any cut baits.
Crappie and bluegill are harder to target currently, and the lower lagoon has been a better spot to catch these species.

Overall trout fishing has remained steady since it has only been a couple days since the plants. Power-bait doughs, mice tails, inline spinners, spoons, and mini jigs have all been getting some attention. A lot of the action has been closer to the main launch ramp around the docks. They have spread out better now, but...... Read More
