We just received back-to-back trout plants last week on 11/09 and 11/10. First one was the smaller DFG truck, second was the three tanker. Overall trout fishing has remained steady since it has only been a couple days since the plants. Power-bait doughs, mice tails, inline spinners, spoons, and mini jigs have all been getting some attention. A lot of the action has been closer to the main launch ramp around the docks. They have spread out and are able to catch them around the corner and the end of the dam.

The striper have been still seen chasing bait on the calmer days, with a lot of bad wind this past week making that difficult. Trolling umbrella rigs has also been working. Cut bait and nightcrawlers/lug worms have also been working well. All bait fishing is off the bottom in around 50-70 feet.

The largemouth and smallmouth still are biting off finesse style plastics, either on the drop-shot or Ned rig. First thing in the morning and later in the evening has been productive for anglers using reaction baits. Big swimbaits have also been landing some better sized fish lately.

The catfish are still biting any cut bait or worm. Most being caught by accident while fishing for striper.

Bluegill and crappie are still biting at a slow pace, and the lower lagoon has been a better place to catch these species as of late. Wind has also been a factor this whole week. Make sure to check the forecast before coming on out.

More boils were seen these past few weeks and it had seemed like they were picking back up. Stripers were schooling up and boiling along cliff walls and places to corner the shad. Some largemouth have been reported in the mix of the boils. Most fish have been caught on topwater, reaction baits, and flukes. When the surface action subsides, anglers using umbrella rigs and flies have still been seeing action, just a little deeper. The stripers have also been...... Read More
