After receiving two trout plants this week, anglers have had a lot of luck from the shore and throughout the lake from boats either in the coves or around the marina area. Kastmasters, Rooster Tails, and mice tail jigs either drop shot or split shot have been working well to catch trout earlier in the day. Powerbait with a small treble hook and a couple of split shots have also been effective throughout the day out deeper along the banks once the lure bite slows down. Stripers and catfish have still been biting cut bait off points around the lake bait and wait style and also biting on the spoon up to 60ft deep. Catfish have been all along the canal and off the points past the swim beach or in the coves around the lake carolina rigged with a heavier sinker to endure the wind. Bass are still biting soft plastics and chatterbaits or jerkbaits in the earlier hours.
