The largemouth bass action has really improved over the past couple weeks as they moved in shallow. There have been reports of numerous quality fish over five pounds caught this week. Anglers have been fooling with Roboworms in Aaron’s Magic, jigs, spinnerbaits, and shad patterned crankbaits. The crappie bite is steady with live shiners and minijigs in 5 to 15 feet of water. Boat anglers are connecting with nice slabs by trolling shad patterned baits and fishing offshore structure with minijigs and live minnows. The trout action is fair to good with the best action on Mice Tails, Garlic scented Powerbait, spinnerbaits, and GULP! Pinched Crawlers. Boat anglers have had the best action trolling various needlefish, Tasmanian Devils, and flicker shad. Catfish have been going for Dip Baits, nightcrawlers and frozen shad. The Annual Isabella Lake Fishing Derby is running from now until July 4th. There are 500 tagged trout worth $20 - $5000.
