Trout fishing has slowed down a little, but anglers are still managing a few here and there. Powerbait, nightcrawlers, and small trout jigs have been working best on and offshore.

The largemouth bite seems to be picking up with a lot of bites coming off finesse plastics or nightcrawlers. Some topwater and reaction baits have also been having attracting some fish. A few boils here and there have been seen with little shad fry being chased.

The striper bite remains steady, with most catches coming off the bottom with cut bait. Sardines, anchovies, and lug worms seem to be working best. Some anglers trolling around yak flies and umbrella rigs have also been able to hook up with some decent quality stripers.

The catfish are still biting off just about anything, mostly bycatches while soaking bait for stripers. If targeted correctly though, you can manage a decent limit by the end of the day.

Bluegill and crappie are also making more of an appearance as of late, and wax/ meal worms have been the best bait to target these species.

The lower lagoon has been seeing better action for bluegill and crappie as well.

Water Temperature: 66-69 degrees
