Huge catfish were the big story for the aqueduct last week with anglers hauling in behemoths while using cut baits, chicken liver, and dip bait. Multiple catfish to 10 pounds were reported. The striper bite was reliable for anglers using cut bait and jumbo live shiners. Flukes, small swimbaits, jerkbaits, and A-rigs also worked for bites after check gates. Bass anglers reported solid fishing while using green pumpkin worms, small swimbaits, and topwater lures.
