The water level has been rising, and water temps remained in the mid-fifties. Striper and trout anglers reported good fishing while bass anglers struggled for bites. High winds and debris in the marina limited launching opportunities for anglers, but shore anglers filled stringers with trout and striped bass. Trout anglers used dough baits, minijigs, Pinched Crawlers, and Kastmasters, and striper anglers fished with cut baits and swimbaits. Striper also went for trolled Kastmasters, flukes, and flies when boats got on the lake. Bass anglers fished deeper water with drop shot, C-rigs, and other finesse baits. The bass bite has been slow, but warmer temperatures could trigger an early spring bite.
